Zlatan Is a fast rising Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer, hip hop rapper, dancer and street music sensation. In the post we’ll be looking at his biography, rise to fame and net worth.

Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael , Born On 19 December, 1994 in Lagos state, south western Nigeria, though he hails from Ekiti state, also in the south western part of Nigeria.

He’s professionally known as zlatan Ibile. He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos state, after which he went on to obtain a diploma in Business Administration from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State south western Nigeria.

Zlatan who can be referred to as the legwork dance pioneer, introduced the “zanku” legwork dance toward the and of the year 2018, the zanku dance overshadowed the “shaku shaku” dance which was then the rave of the moment.

He is known for his catchy phrase “Kapaichumarimarichopaco” his music genre includes Rap, Afropop and Afrobeat.


Zlatan never had music in mind while growing up, but he had knowledge of music as he was a drummer. After his secondary education he started following some friends to the studio, there he was given the privilege to sing alongside his friends, his interest in music developed from his constant visit to the studio and he decided to pursue a career in music.

While in the tertiary institution, Zlatan went ahead to further his music career, he performed mainly rapping in different shows organised in school and soon he became popular in school.

In 2014 he won the Airtel-sponsored “One Mic Campus Tour” music competition, which was held in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He went away with the star prizes that included a brand new Kia Picanto, a full artiste makeover and a recording deal with ID Cabasa’s Coded Tunes.

In 2017,Zlatan released a self named track “Zlatan”.The song was a full rap track which caught the attention of rap music lovers and artiste, gained him favour in the eyes of YBNL Boss Olamide who went ahead to feature him in a track.

The Olamide assisted track “My Body” was released in October 2017, this gained him popularity using the prominence of the YBNL Boss and the video of Davido dancing to the song.

In 2018, Chinko Ekun featured Zlatan and Lil Kesh in the hit song “Able God.” The music video of the song which was shot and directed by Walinteen Pro saw Zlatan exhibiting a dance move that has never been seen. The dance move focuses mainly in tasking the leg. Able God hit over 4.1 million views on YouTube after its release .

Zlatan went ahead to release his Single titled ‘Zanku,’ an acronymn for Zlatan Abeg No Kill Us. In the music video Zlatan is seen exhibiting more of the Legwork dance routine, he later renamed it the Zanku dance.

Still in 2018, he released yet another single ‘Osanle’ featuring Davido.
In 2019 he released another single ‘Glory’ and went ahead to feature in Burna Boy’s killiin Dem a track from his fourth studio album African Giant.

He was also featured in Ceeza Milli’s “Flenjo” and Naira Marley’s “Am I a Yahoo”.
On 3rd November 2019, Zlatan released his debut album “Zanku” the 17-track album had guest appearances from the big stars like; Davido, Tiwa Savage, Yonda, Burna Boy, Patoranking and many others with production credits from Spellz, Rexxie, P.Prime, Kiddominant, IamBeatz, Speroach Beatz and Miraqulous Beatz.

Zlatan is unmarried but he’s been rumoured to be in relationship with Seyi Awonuga, as they both posted pictures of themselves together on their Instagram page. This Zlatan confirmed by referring to Seyi as his baby, business partner and everything else.

Seyi Awonuga who looks more like a Tomboy is the CEO of Bang Mewsic Entertainment and she’s said to have signed Zlatan herself. The duo welcomed a baby in June 2019, as Seyi shared a picture of herself holding a baby with the caption “Zlatan’s baby”

Much is not known about Zlatan’s family; his parent and siblings, but he however mentioned about his father being a pastor.

In 2018 Zlatan was involved in a controversy with a 9-years old boy named Segun Wire. In 2017 a video of Segun had surfaced on Instagram, the boy was heard saying he wanted to become an internet fraudstar( Yahoo Yahoo).

The video which was said to be a joke caused an uproar as most people complained of moral decadence.
Zlatan who came in contact with the video, decided to take it to a next level.

He created an Instagram account for him, took up his schooling and up keep. But in 2018 it turned ugly when Segun’s family accused the singer of using the boy for extortion.

It was also reported that some thugs belonging to the boy’s family attacked and assaulted the singer. This lead to the end of the relationship. Zlatan later released a song with Harrysong explaining himself.

On May 16 2019, Zlatan alongside Marlians president Naira Marley and three others were arrested by the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC).

This came after the release of the music video of their controversial hit single “Am I a Yahoo Boy” however Zlatan was released five days later.

On July 26th, 2019 Zlatan took to his Instagram to announce that he had bagged an endorsement deal with Coca-Cola.
He also signed an endorsement deal with Bet9ja’s Lotto9ja in September 2019

Zlatan Ibile is said to be worth $1.5 million. This is based on endorsements, album sales, shows and concerts charge.
